Acetonitrile 4x4L, Case of 4

|
Details
Specifications This colorless liquid is the simplest organic nitrile (hydrogen cyanide is a simpler nitrile, but the cyanide anion is not classed as organic). It is produced mainly as a byproduct of acrylonitrile manufacture. It is used as a polar aprotic solvent in organic synthesis and in the purification of butadiene.Acetonitrile is used mainly as a solvent in the purification of butadiene in refineries. Acetonitrile plays a significant role as the dominant solvent used in the manufacture of DNA oligonucleotides from monomers.Grade:HPLC/Spectro GradePurity:≥99.9%Key Applications:Solvent for pharmaceuticals and photographic filmApplication Areas:Molecular BiologyProduct Type:SolventsBiochemical Category:BiochemicalChemical Class:Polar AproticDensity:.786 g/cm³ at 20 °C g/cm³ (Lit.)Auto Ignition:524 °C (Lit.)Boiling Point:81-82 °C(lit.)Melting Point:-45.7 °C (Lit.)Vapor Density:1.4 (air = 1) (Lit.)Vapor Pressure:94.51 - 98.64 hPa at 20 °C (Lit.)Refractive Index:n20/D 1.344(lit.)UV/Visible Absorbance:λ: 195 nm Amax: ≤0.10 λ: 200 nm Amax: ≤0.02 λ: 228 nm Amax: ≤0.005 λ: 235 nm Amax: ≤0.0044 λ: 250 nm Amax: ≤0.0044 λ: 400 nm Amax: ≤0.0044( Lit.)Presentation:Clear LiquidFormat:LiquidColor (APHA):≤10Water Content:≤0.02%Titrable Base:Titrable Acid <0.008 meq/g; Titrable Base <0.0006 meq/gNOTES:Residue after Evaporation ≤2 ppmSolubility:Soluble in water.
