Materials included are aluminum, brass, copper, steel, and lead. The cubes feature 1.26" (32mm) sides and are intended for use in density, specific gravity, and specific heat experiments. Where measurements are provided in both metric and imperial units, the metric measurements are generally more accurate (imperial measurements are provided as a general reference). These educational cubes are designed for use in an educational setting and are not fabricated using ultra-high-precision machining; expect tolerances in the +/- 5% range of any stated dimensions (although they are generally much tighter). This item is part of the Eisco Labs Density Investigation series, which aims to help students identify and understand mass, comprehend the relationship between mass, volume, and density, grasp specific heat and specific gravity, and explore other introductory physics and chemistry concepts.
