Ileal Fatty Acid Binding Protein (human) Recombinant Protein, RP-75560, from Invitrogen.Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins (14-15kDa) that bind long chain fatty acids, their CoA derivatives, billiruben, organic anions and other small hydrophobic molecules. They are abundantly present in various cell types and due to their small size rapidly leak from damaged cells leading to a rise in serum levels. This product contains purified recombinant human ileal FABP protein with an N-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product may be used as a positive control in many immunological assays. This protein has a molecular weight of ∽18.87 kDa.
