Speed range of 6,000 to 18,000 rpmGentle, rapid size reduction via 2-step processHigh throughputQuiet, reliable, easy-to-cleanThe ZM 200 Ultra-Centrifugal Grinding Mill rapidly reduces soft to medium-hard and fibrous materials to analytical sample size. Grinding takes place by impact and shearing action between the rotor and the fixed ring sleeve. Feed material passes through the funnel with splash-back protection onto the rotor. Centrifugal acceleration throws the material outward with great energy and it is pre-crushed on impact with the wedge-shaped rotor teeth moving with a high differential speed. Sample material is then finely ground between the rotor and the sieve ring. Two-stage grinding ensures fast but gentle sample processing. Material then travels to the collecting vessel enclosing the grinding chamber or to the downstream cyclone or paper filter bag. Maximum feed particle size is 10 mm. Maximum sample volume is 900 mL, up to 5000 mL with cyclone. Fineness is as low as 40 µm, depending upon sample material. Mill measures 410 mm W x 365 mm H x 515 mm D. Weight is 38 kg.
