Details
Tau proteins are microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs). Alternate splicing of tau mRNA and differential phosphorylation contribute to the heterogeneity of tau. Host Species: MouseClone: TAU-5Isotype: IgG1Species Reactivity: Human, Sheep, Cow, Mouse and Rat. Others not known.Epitope: Middle of TauImmunogen: Purified bovine microtubule-associated proteinsMolecular Weight: 45-68kDaPositive Control: IMR5 cells, Human T98G glioblastoma cells or Alzheimer's disease brain tissueCellular Localization: Cytoplasmic Ab-2 reacts with the non-phosphorylated as well as the phosphorylated forms of tau and its epitope maps in the middle of tau. Ab-2 intensely stains the human neurofibrillary tangles, neuropil threads, and neuritic plaques associated with Alzheimer's disease. Ab-2 shows no cross reaction with other MAPs or tubulin. Recommended for:Immunohistochemistry (Not suitable)Western BlottingImmunofluorescenceImmunoprecipitation (Native verified) Note:USA: RUO; Int'l: RUO
